Alan Livingstone is described as being huge with a short, thick beard. His hair is blond and his chest and shoulders look llike they belong to a rhinoceros. He has bare woolly arms.
After the first battle in Ashtown during The Drowned Vault Alan has to have his nostril stiched back on.
